Sandra’s first open mic night at The Common!
The last Open Mic night here at The Common was a huge success and a truly beautiful moment shared among the local residents of Harlesden as well as our new collective inhabitants. A fusion of musical genres from various cultures such as reggae, jazz, funk and acoustic indie and much in between. Apart from this we were delighted to announce even more diverse acts ranging between stand up comedy and poetry and spoken word monologues. The atmosphere was a warm vibrant hustle and bustle with infectious laughs and smiles all around creating an easy environment for performance.
One of the first events here at The Common to congregate so many people around the same incentive of sharing this great worldliness of music and humour. A profound experience for us here at The Common so much so we wish to make this bigger and better every fortnight! Next Open Mic coming up is this Wednesday 9th. we hope that more and more of you can sign up this week to make this night ever more special for us.
Many thanks to Sandra Brown for making this event happen – for bringing such great vibes into our venue and for creating such a special atmosphere as well as gracing us with her musical talents! And who can forget the house band that put on an amazing show and kept the ball rolling for us all?!
