Saturday August 28 will see The Common slice launched as the newest destination food and music venue with a collaborative party from Cult Events and Platta. The backdrop will be on the beautiful canalside setting of The Common slice in the newly launched, world’s largest co-living building, The Collective Old Oak. With renowned DJs and award winning food, the all day party will serve as a relaxing respite to Notting Hill Carnival down the road. Whether you want to fuel up before hitting the parade or come and relax after a day’s dancing Notting Chill Carnival has it all.
Platta will be serving up inventive chicken wings seasoned and spiced with all things nice and New Orleans. They let the birds do the singing and the sauces do the zinging, with Traditional Bajan, Honey & Mustard Seed or their Crazy Hot sauce which is “Only for the Brave”. Elsewhere on the menu you’ll find: Jamaican Pattie Our special gourmet pattie filled with 21 day aged beef, lamb, goat and mutton. Slow cooked in chicken stock, spiced & with a dash of red wine. Guaranteed to quench the thirst after a day of dancing is Platta’s Fire Cracking (Raw) Pineapple juice fresh pineapple juice with fresh lime, ginger & a flash of fresh mild chilli. Available without chilli.
Fresh wood fired pizzas will also be prov ided from T he Common slice’s outdoor pizza oven and the first 100 guests who have signed up through Billetto will receive a free pint of Frontier Lager or a Guinness punch and a sample from the Platta menu. The DJs have been handpicked to create a truly relaxed atmosphere and include ReviveHer, KishKashand Y.A.W so expect disco beats, chill out House and good time vibes.
